Patrick Talty (Past Speaker)

In his role as General Manager of U.S. Bank Stadium, Patrick is responsible for the overall

management and operation of the stadium. Talty is charged with leading the SMG team as they

book a variety of diverse events, while creating a safe, memorable, fan-friendly environment for

all employees and guests. Patrick and his team have already experienced huge success with the

opening and first year of operations of the Stadium, and most recently hosting Super Bowl LII.

U.S. Bank Stadium has hosted a sold-out international soccer match, concerts, Monster Truck

shows, Supercross, and hundreds of private corporate meetings, weddings, tradeshows, and

public tours during the first two years. U.S. Bank Stadium has also received several awards

within the first few years of operations including the Meet Minneapolis 2017 Innovation in

Tourism award, the Stadium Business Awards 2017 Best New Venue, and the Green Sports

Alliance 2018 Innovator of the Year award for its Zero-Waste Super Bowl and its legacy for

zero-waste commitment moving forward.

Patrick has over twenty years of experience in the venue management industry. He started his

career in Indianapolis at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome. In 2006, he was named

Assistant General Manager of the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals

and annual Fiesta Bowl. During his time in Arizona Patrick was onsite for the construction and

opening of the Stadium, and was responsible for booking a full slate of events annually. He went

from Arizona to Abu Dhabi, where Talty became Zayad Sports City’s General Manager. The

venue went from hosting ten events per year to more than a 100 during his first year there, truly

making Zayad Sports City a sporting and entertainment hub. Prior to U.S. Bank Stadium, Patrick

was the Senior Vice President of Live Events for WWE and managed over 450 global live events

annually.

Talty’s effectiveness in building and leading teams, coupled with his ability to market special

events is the foundation for his success. Most recently he was recognized in Sports Business

Journal’s “Power Players 2017: Today’s Facility Managers”, in their June 19 addition of SBJ.

When he is not working he enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his wife and four children,

and their family dog. He looks forward to continued success stories for his team at U.S. Bank

Stadium for years to come.
