C.R. Kennedy and Dallmeier (Past Sponsor)
C.R.Kennedy was founded in 1934 by Clement Robertson Kennedy, the company’s namesake. To this day, the company is still 100%
family owned. Initially the company’s activities were solely photographic and optical, importing a variety of lines from Germany
and Italy.
Since 1984, C.R.Kennedy has earned a reputation as the major supplier of CCTV equipment to the Australian market with the
beginning of its CCTV division. In 1996, the division won the largest digital contract in the world at that time, by offering Melbourne’s Crown Casino with a unique pit cam solution. This was far ahead of its time in thinking, when all recordings were still analogue on VHS tapes, not digital. The Crown Casino contract was also the beginning of a long and close friendship with Dallmeier Electronic of Germany, the first
manufacturer of digital video recorders.
In 2003, C.R.Kennedy and the German manufacturer and innovator Dallmeier, founded a joint venture to target the Asian market, with
offices in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. This joint venture has gone on to win the first fully digital matrix solution at the Sands
Macau Casino, and today builds the largest digital surveillance systems in the world.
Innovative technology from Dallmeier has also been adopted throughout Europe for Stadium Surveillance, Security and Advanced Situational Awareness.
